No Joking Around For the Jesters In Round Two Victory

After picking up four points in their round one victory over the Mavericks, there would be no joking around for the Jesters in the second round of the PxHL Playoffs. Playing the Honey Badgers, Jeremiah Bogard gave the Jesters an early first period lead. That lead would however be quickly erased when Alex Vonlangen evened things up just over a minute later. The Jester’s Larry Ralph would score two unanswered goals to help them regain their lead though.

The Honey Badgers’ Mat Emmerson did score his first of the game to help get his team back within one. Unfortunately, the potent Jesters offense bounced back with their fourth of the period courtesy of the stick of Bill Brian. Still a wide open game for either team, the same would be true after the second period.

Each team only added one goal in the second. Emmerson picked up his second of the game for the Badgers while Bogard potted his second as well for the Jesters. Going into the third period, it was still up for grabs with a score of 5-3.

Things were even looking good for the Honey Badgers to open the third as they scored just seven seconds into the period. That goal also completed the hat trick for Emmerson. Signs were pointing towards a comeback early, but unfortunately, the Jesters took over from there on out, scoring five unanswered to close out the period.

With goals from Rob Krajewski, Larry Ralph, Jeremiah Bogard (2) and Kevin Ritchey, the Jesters won their second playoff matchup and are in a good position heading into week three. They will play the Sabre Warriors in the third round on Friday at 10:50 on NHL #1.
