After starting their playoff run with a tie, a timely win has helped thrust Bradford Ale House ahead in the PxHL Playoffs point total with 11 points in three games. Going into game four, they now hold a one point lead over Fighting Hellfish. Here’s how they got there.
Playing Essex St. Pub, things kicked off at 10:30 in North Buffalo. Bradford Ale House was the first on the board, picking up two goals, less than two minutes apart. Alan Fitzsimmons opened the scoring while Adam Reich widened the lead soon after. That two goal lead would last into the first intermission.
Essex St. Pub was able to fight their way back into this one though. Richard Incorvaia brought them to within one early in the second and Matt Peters potted the tying goal just a couple of minutes later.
Unfortunately, the tie didn’t last long as Joe Wesolowski helped give Bradford Ale House the lead back. It was their only goal of the period and the last tally of the second.
It would take more than half of the third period before either team would score in the final frame, and again it was Essex St. Pub. Tying things up this time was Tom Cotter. At this moment, the game was still up for grabs. However, Bradford Ale House’s Adam Reich really wanted this victory and showed it by completing his hat trick in the third period.
Bradford Ale House is set to take on the Stormtroopers, Monday night at 10 pm on the Feature Rink.
